Golf Cart Windshield Fitment: Club Car, EZGO & Yamaha Guide
The right golf cart windshield depends on the cart platform and mounting arrangement, not simply the brand badge. Two carts from the same manufacturer can use different windshields, and a body or roof conversion can complicate the match. Use this guide to narrow the options before opening the product’s full fitment details.
Start with the exact model and year
Collect the model, production year, and photos of the front roof supports. If an old windshield is installed, photograph its brackets and folding points. Measurements are useful for confirming a listed application, but they should not replace the model and year check.
Examples from our SGC windshield range
| Cart | Listing distinction |
|---|---|
| Club Car DS | 1982–2000.5 and 2000.5+ use separate SGC windshield listings. Verify the support style around the production change. |
| EZGO TXT | 1994–2013 TXT and 2014+ TXT/Freedom TXT are different applications. “Freedom” alone does not identify every compatible chassis. |
| EZGO RXV | Our WSRX01 windshield bundle lists 2008–2022 RXV. Do not extend that range to a later cart without checking. |
| Yamaha | G29/Drive and Drive2 have separate windshield applications; “Yamaha Drive” is not a sufficient description for both. |
Check the roof supports and folding space
Read the mounting instructions for the chosen windshield. An aftermarket roof, different supports, existing enclosure, or accessory mounted near the hinge can change the available space. Check the windshield’s open and closed positions, along with any clips used to retain it. Avoid assuming that a windshield fitting the stock cart also fits every modified version.
Choosing a windshield and mirror together
A windshield and mirror bundle can simplify shopping when you need both pieces. Our SGC packages combine the listed model-specific tinted folding windshield with an MR0003 panoramic rear-view mirror. The mirror requires drilling at a suitable roof mounting location. Check the driver’s view and the windshield’s folding clearance before locating the mounting holes.
The mirror’s broad mounting application does not make the windshield universal. Read the fitment for each included component, and confirm that the roof offers an appropriate mounting location.
Before you order
- Match the exact cart platform and listed production range.
- Compare the support layout with the product photos and instructions.
- Check whether the listing includes its mounting hardware.
- Choose a tint appropriate to your visibility needs.
- Confirm clearance around mirrors, enclosures, and other accessories.
Common questions
Does a TXT windshield fit an RXV?
Do not treat them as interchangeable. Select the listing that names your cart platform.
What if my cart falls on a split year?
Send the identification details and clear support photos before ordering. A half-year label calls for checking the actual configuration, not guessing from the calendar year.
