Make, model, year and target voltage are required. AC fitment can also depend on the factory controller, throttle and connector, so system-specific listings may be shown as possible matches until those details are confirmed.

Collection: AC Controller Upgrades

Shop controller upgrades for golf carts that already use a compatible AC motor system. Compare controller models and kit contents for the original drive systems listed on each product.

Match the cart’s battery voltage, motor, controller connections, throttle and communication requirements. These controller-focused upgrades are distinct from a full motor-and-controller conversion.

AC Upgrade Finder

Find the right AC upgrade for your golf cart

Answer a few simple questions about your cart. We’ll narrow the catalog to verified applications and only ask about your controller when it actually matters.

1
What are you trying to do? Pick the description that sounds like your cart.

Not sure? Some carts came with AC from the factory. If you’re unsure, send us a photo of your motor or controller label before choosing an upgrade type.

2
Tell us about your cart No controller numbers yet — just the basics.

Select your model, exact year and current voltage. If you are changing from 36V or 48V to 72V, choose 72V as the voltage after upgrade.

We won't show a part as a verified match unless the selected cart and drive system are tied to that application.

To send photos, open an email and attach them before sending. This website form sends text and image links, not uploaded attachments.

Helpful photos: the whole cart, its identification label, the old part number, and visible connectors. Do not disconnect wiring just to take a photo.

Edit cart details

Cart details are saved on this device only. Do not enter personal information here. Changing carts clears the previous configuration.

Unknown details will not be treated as confirmed.

Not sure which cart you have?

Use the vehicle label and manufacturer guidance to identify your cart. Body panels, batteries and drivetrains can be changed; a model name alone does not prove part compatibility.

Club Car

Club Car: check the barcode label below the passenger-side cup holder or above the pedals. The model letters are followed by the model-year and production-week digits. Use the manufacturer directory to confirm the prefix.

E-Z-GO

E-Z-GO: for models purchased before 2023, the manufacturer points to the steering column or below the driver-side seat. Location varies by model. Photograph the complete label, including the manufacturer code.

Yamaha

Yamaha: check under the seat at the floorboard/motor compartment, on the frame under the rear bumper, or beneath the driver-side glove box. Use the full identification label, not just the body appearance.
