Yamaha G29 / Drive YDRE 48V DC upgrade parts
Pair a dedicated Alltrax XCT 400A-class YDRE controller with a D&D regen motor, G29-specific 4 AWG wire kit and 48V-coil MZJ contactor. For a compatible DC system—not a factory-AC controller upgrade or DC-to-AC conversion.

Identify the Drive system first
For compatible 48V G29 / first-generation Drive YDRE DC applications. Confirm the factory controller, connections, throttle, motor interface and battery arrangement. Not G19/G22, gas, series or Drive2 factory AC. The Drive name alone does not establish compatibility.
Installation requirements
Configure the XCT for D&D 170-516-0003 at 48V; motor-specific field mapping and current limits must match. The 4 AWG kit is suitable only where Alltrax's standard-duty 400A wiring requirements apply. Heavy-duty 400A operation requires at least 2 AWG. Hills, towing, oversized tires and heavy loads need a workload review. Peak controller amp class is not continuous current.
Check motor case clearance, speed sensor, cable lengths and lug openings, mounting and battery/BMS limits. The MZJ's 48V coil must suit the control circuit; its referenced main-contact circuit maximum is 60V DC including full-charge and regeneration voltage. Confirm contact duty and whether different/re-terminated power leads are required for the actual studs. Lithium conversions can change the cable layout.
Programming service, labor, main fuse/holder, suppression diode, mounting adapters and extra signal harnesses are not included unless explicitly stated by a component. Additional installation parts may be needed. Use the exact Alltrax diagram and obtain D&D approval for non-stock motor application and warranty coverage.
